FULTON COUNTY ELECTION PROCLAMATION

PUBLIC NOTICE

THE FULTON COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS, BY THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN THEM UNDER THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS, DO HEREBY, PROCLAIM THAT THE ANNUAL SCHOOL ELECTION FOR SALEM AND VIOLA, AND AN ELECTION ON A CITY OF HORSESHOE BEND INITIATIVE WILL BE HELD IN FULTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS ON TUESDAY, MAY 13TH, 2025.

EARLY VOTING DATES, TIMES & LOCATIONS:

FULTON COUNTY COURTHOUSE ANNEX - 455 N. Main Street, Salem, AR 72576

Tues-Fri: May 6th - May 9th                  8:00am - 4:30pm

Mon: May 12th                                   8:00am - 4:30pm

ELECTION DAY TIME & LOCATIONS: Tuesday, May 13th - 7:30am - 7:30pm

ABSENTEE VOTING - will be conducted through the Fulton County Clerk's office. To request an absentee ballot, or to see if you are qualified to vote absentee, contact the county clerk's office at 123 South Main Street, Salem, Arkansas 72576. The office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and the telephone number is 870-895-3310.

BALLOT CANVASSING AND COUNTING - opening the outer envelope, processing, and canvassing the absentee ballot paperwork will be held on May 13th, 2025, starting at 10:00 am at the Election Commission headquarters, 135 West Church Street, Salem, Arkansas. Early votes and absentee votes will be counted at 7:30 pm on May 13th, 2025, at the Fulton County Clerk's Office, 123 South Main Street, Salem, Arkansas.

LIST OF APPOINTED ELECTION OFFICIALS - a list of officials appointed to conduct early voting, election day voting, and all other required duties will be posted at the Fulton County Courthouse 123 South Main Street (hallway/bulletin board) and the Fulton County Clerk's Office by Monday, April 28th, 2025. A written objection to the service of an election official can be filed with the Fulton County Board of Election Commissioners c/o Fulton County Clerk's Office, PO Box 219, Salem, Arkansas 72576, or in person at the Fulton County Clerk's Office, 123 South Main Street, Salem, Arkansas, within seven (7) calendar days after posting the list of election officials.

For Providing Citizen Vote prior to any changes to the Parks and Recreation for the City of Horseshoe Bend, State of Arkansas.

 

VIEWING YOUR BALLOT PRIOR TO VOTING:

Any voter may look up his or her sample ballot on the Secretary of State's website at: https://www.voterview.ar-nova.org. Ballots will be available no later than 20 days prior to the election. Sample ballots will also be available at the polling sites.

NOTICE is hereby given to all voters in Fulton County that the Vote Center in Mammoth Spring that was at the Old Mammoth Spring Parts Store has been changed by the Fulton County Board of Election Commissioners. The new Vote Center in Mammoth Spring is now at:

This change will be effective for the November 5th, 2024, General Election as well as all future elections.

CONCERNING THE REDISTRICTING OF FULTON COUNTY'S QUORUM COURT DISTRICTS

FULTON COUNTY TOTAL POPULATION 12,075 (2021 CENSUS DATA)

A color copy map of the proposed districts is available for viewing at the Fulton County & Circuit Clerk's Office. Anyone with comments or questions regarding the redistricting plan needs to contact the Fulton County Election Commission at 870-612-0184.

Original jurisdiction of any suit to contest the apportionment made for county quorum court districts by a county board of election commissioners is vested in the circuit court of the affected county. Any such contest shall be filed with the circuit court within (30) days following the date publication appears in a newspaper of general circulation.
